Marcy Winograd is a terrific progressive Democrat who is taking on Blue Dog Jane Harman in the primary for CA-36 next year. She is also a legitimate Kossack, who has spent a lot of time here soliciting our opinions and engaging us in conversation. She ran against Harman in 2006 and came close to knocking her off, and the Bush apologist Harman has only covered herself in more ignominy since.
